The Political Party of the “Super-Rich”: Moscow Connections
The British
Conservative Party of the “super-rich” has clearly
had an ongoing relationship with Russian money for many years and took almost
half a million pounds in 2019 from just three wealthy individuals with close
ties to Moscow (Ref. 2). Political donations in Britain need urgent reform.
However, the financial support from Lubov Chernukhin (wife
of Putin's ex Finance Minister), Alexander Termerko (ex Yukos oil man) and
Vasily Shestakov are just the tip of a very large hydrocarbons-berg that has
been growing for many years. Alex Nekrassov is a major player in London. The
notorious 2013 Billingsgate fundraiser (Ref. 1) where Borisova, May and several
others prostituted their Party was a ramping up of efforts. David Burnside (ex
BA) has been heavily involved via his links to all sides, including the DUP who
have been most supportive in recent times.
For
at least 10 years, Conservatives have regularly claimed that a wide variety of
individuals prepared to pay are British citizens, which is true, since many
have double nationality. They were essentially allowed to buy passports until
recently for a million quid, few questions asked, under the Tier 1 Visas scheme
introduced in 2008 to allow individuals with at least £1m
to invest to remain in the UK on a long-term basis (Ref. 4). This was seen as a
speedy way for wealthy foreign nationals and their children to become British
citizens. The
price was raised in 2012 to 2 million quid. Various sources in Russia no doubt often
provided the money in order to bring their people in. UK Home Office anti-corruption checks are well known as a
complete joke. The
same schemes operate in Malta, Cyprus and Moldova, although Moldova is a little
cheaper than Great Britain (Ref. 5).
Many
greedy hypocrites accepted funds and pretended that Russia was somehow a normal
democracy in transition and not a petro gangster state. This was a standard
City of London 1990s fantasy and lie which has utterly corrupted it and the
Conservative Party, so hugely supportive of “The City” for many decades. For Example, as recently as May 2019
there was a friendly ladies dinner attended by May, Rudd and Leadsom, amongst
others (Ref. 3).
